Baehr Family (Reunites - 28 July 2012)

The descendants of the George and Alma Baehr family held a reunion on July 28, 2012, in the area. The out-of-town crowd gathered in Thorp that morning and visited some of the local sites, including visits, to local cheese factories. Later, all gathered at the Meadowview Country Club for socializing, a meal and pictures. Following everyone was invited to the home of Dave and Gayle Baehr and family for bonfire and fireworks, enjoyed by all.

Many of those attending also stayed for the funeral services of Anita Petrulis Baehr, held on Monday, July 30, at Thorp. Anita was married to Vernon Baehr, one of the six children of George and Alma. She passed away Friday evening July 27th, just having celebrated her 90th birthday on Wednesday.

Those attending from the Anita Baehr Nevala branch were Don and Audrey Nevala of Fond du Lac, and Merlin and Pat Nevala of Menomonie.

Gertrude Baehr Rademacher branch: Sandy Rademacher Dooley of Minooka, IL.

Elmer Baehr branch: Richard and Barb Baehr of Inverness, IL; Carol Baehr Dickens, her husband, Dave Dickens and her sons, Scott and Dan Franklin, of Forney, TX.

Lorraine Baehr Knoppel branch: Kenton Knoppel and Juanita Pennington of Aledo, TX.

Earl Baehr branch: Earl Baehr; Fred and Cindy Baehr of Withee; Scott, Bo and Brett Baehr of Lublin; Wendy Baehr Devereaux and daughter, Taylor Devereaux, of Casa Grande, AZ; Karen Baehr and Dan Boushon of Greenwood; Wally Baehr and Judy Lord of Withee; and Mike and Camille Baehr and daughter, Neela, of Greenwood.

A few highlights noted include the 50th wedding anniversary of Don and Audrey Nevala and the 73rd anniversary of Lorraine and Paul Knoppel.

We remembered those who passed, by the lighting of a candle and rejoiced over the birth of three new descendants, the youngest Baehr being Olivia Michelle, daughter of Kevin and Natalie Baehr of Withee.
