Haase, Elizabeth (2 MAY 1888 - 10 JAN 1963)
Mrs. Elizabeth Haase, Route 3, Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), Stanley,
passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 10th, 1963 at 6:45 at Victory Hospital in
Stanley, after being hospitalized for a week.
She was born in Germany May
2, 1888, the daughter of John and Magdalena Peetz, and came to the United States
with her parents at the age of 17, settling at Clayton, Wis. She was united in
marriage with Paul Haase, Oct. 26, 1914 in Almena, Wis., and moved to the Town
of Worden where she had since resided.
Preceding her in death were her
husband, March 3, 1959, one sister and one brother, and her parents.
Surviving are three sons, Bernard and Paul at home, Joseph at Loyal, one
daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Mildred) Van Den Heuvel, Stanley, two brothers, John of
Clayton and Peter of Gilman, and six grandchildren.
The body laid in
state at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley from Saturday until the time of the
services Monday morning, Jan. 14 at 9:00 o’clock at St. Anne’s Catholic Church,
with Rev. Edmund Cramer officiating. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery at
Stanley.
Mrs. Haase was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, the Christian
Mothers and Ladies Aid, St. Blanche and County Line Women’s Club.
