Olowski, Anna (18 MAY 1894 - 11 JAN 1963)
Anna Olowski, 68, passed
away of kidney failure on Friday, Jan. 11th, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Chippewa Falls.
Mrs. Olowski was born May 18, 1894 in Poland. She arrived
in America on Aug. 4, 1914, living at Minneapolis, Minn. On June 12, 1917 she
married Adolph Olowski at Minneapolis and in 1919 they moved to Edson, after
which they moved to a farm 3 miles west and 3/4 mile south of Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), until April 1957, when they moved to Thorp. Mr. Olowski passed away Jan.
26, 1958.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 14th at St. Hedwig’s
Chapel. Father Edward Masalewicz officiated at the ten a.m. services and burial
was in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Holgar Fisher, Joseph
Kaminski, Henry Bujalski, George Wartolec, Frank Tomkowiak and Casmir
Deniszkiewicz.
Surviving are six sons: Mat of New York, Stanley of
Calif., Frank and Chet of Milwaukee, Henry of Minneapolis, A/2c Robert of Kesler
Air Force Base, Mississippi; six daughters: Jean Lisenbe and Nell Blair of
California, Rose Breckow of Washington, Frances Slowiak of Stanley, Mary Ann
Lasik of Thorp, Stella Berliner of Milwaukee; one brother John Kryston of
Poland; four sisters, Mary Kryston, Anastasia Guyjar, Agnes Cadall and Teclaw
Kryston, all of Poland.
