Hokkanen, Annette R. (17 DEC 1962)

Annette R. Hokkanen, daughter of Mrs. Mike Lencz of Lublin became the bride of J. C. Sanderson, son of Mrs. Peter Winters, Planton, Mo. and Walter Sanderson, St. Louis, Mo., on Dec. 17, 1962 at Protestant Chapel, Briggs Air Force Base, El Paso, Texas. Chaplain Albert Owens performed the 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by the couple’s supervisor, Major John Hood, wore a street length white taffeta dress styled with scoop neckline and short sleeves. Full length white gloves and a half had headpiece in the shape of a rose with shoulder length veil completed her outfit her bouquet consisted of soft yellow roses.

Ann Bullington, a friend of the bride of Briggs AFB, was maid of honor, wearing a street length teal blue sheath with matching jacket and 3/4 length sleeves. Her headpiece was a blue half hat with short veil and she carried a single white orchid.

Jack Repep, a friend of the groom, of Briggs AFB was best man.

A supper for 7 guests was held at the Lafonda Restaurant.

The bride attended Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, Wis. State College, Whitewater, and is a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Air Force. The groom attended the Eureka, Mo. High School and Harris Teachers College, St. Louis, Mo., and is an A/1c in the U.S. Air Force.

After a wedding trip to Ruidoso, N.M., the couple will make their home at 1505 Mescalero, Apr. 2, El Paso 25, Texas.
