Nelson, Anna A. (21 MAR 1890 - 2 FEB 1963)
Mrs.
Anna A. Nelson, 327 Garfield St., Stanley, died at Victory Memorial Hospital
Saturday evening at 7:30 o’clock after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Nelson
was born in Curtiss (Clark Co.), Wis., March 21, 1890, the daughter of Albert
and Margaret Rahn. When a young girl she worked in Owen, and was married to
Chris Nelson at Superior on March 31, 1912. They lived in Superior until 1941,
then purchased the Hilltop, east of Stanley, which they operated until October
1961. At that time she retired and moved to Stanley to reside with her daughter,
Mrs. Eugene VerWeyst. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors are
one son, Goodwin Nelson of Howey in the Hills, Florida; one daughter, Mrs.
VerWeyst of Stanley; two brothers, Charles and John Rahn of Owen; three
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of St.
Anne’s Church and the Christian Mother’s Society.
