Albert L. (14 JUN 1886 - 29 JAN 1963)
Albert Louis Turenne, 76, passed
away at his home of a heart attack on Jan. 29, 1963. Funeral services were held
on Friday, Feb. 1st at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Father Donovan Mulert
officiated at the ten a.m. services and burial was in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Francis Hedler, Pat Soderberg, Justine Rosemeyer, Val
Wyczawski, Fred Hedler and Joe Strojny.
Mr. Turenne was born in Escanaba,
Mich. on June 14, 1886. He was married at St. Bernard’s Church, Thorp on Sept.
30, 1919. He farmed in the rural Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area until four years
ago when he moved to the city.
Surviving are his wife Mildred; five
daughters, Mrs. Marion Lobacz, Withee, Mrs. Betty Sparrer, Portland, Ore., Mrs.
Eleanor Lobacz and Mrs. Grace Lobacz, both of Greenwood, and Mrs. Julia
Fitzgerald, Beaverton, Ore; five sons, Charles, Portland, Ore., John, Clarence
and Fred, all of Thorp, and Philip of Stanley; two brothers, Joseph of Thorp and
Peter, Round Lake, Ill., and two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Flanders, Fond du Lac and
Mrs. Rose Rusch, Owen, along with 22 grandchildren.
