Christianson, Mattie (14 FEB 1881 - 4 MAY 1963)

Mrs. Mattie Elizabeth Christianson, a resident of Stanley, died suddenly at three o’clock Monday morning at her home.

Mrs. Christianson was born in Albany, N.Y., Feb. 14, 1881, the daughter of the late William and Alma Van Deusen. They moved to the Eidsvold (Clark Co., Wis.) community when she was eight year of age, and lived on a farm. Her marriage to Oscar Christianson took place in Thorp, Nov. 24, 1898, and they farmed in Thorp Township until August 1943, when they retired and lived in Stanley.

Surviving are one son, Clarence, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Regina) Dahm of Boyd; two brothers, Bert and Charles Van Deusen of Stanley; seven grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, July 30, 1961; by one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
