Martha Sternitzky came over from
Marshfield and spent Sunday with her parents and on Tuesday left for Milwaukee
to visit Mrs. R.C. Norman.
Richard Gotter and family autoed to La Crosse
Sunday on their way to Lansing, Ia., and finding it impossible to cross the
river at La Crosse, returned home Tuesday.
E.F. Brooks, after a several
days visit with his daughter Mrs. R.C. Norman in Milwaukee, returned home
Monday.
Miss Adeline and Susie Breseman of Marshfield visited old friends
in this place several days last week. Miss Emma Grassman accompanied Miss Susie
to Marshfield for a several days visit.
Gladys Altenburg, on her return
from Grand Rapids, visited her grandmother and aunts before going to Sanborn,
N.D. to join her parents.
Chas. Altenburg of Sanborn, N.D. spent several
days here with relatives, returning home on Wednesday.
R.T. Washburn
autoed to Neillsville Saturday with John and Charles Altenburg.
Mr. and
Mrs. Palmer of Neillsville visited Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Keller last week.
Mrs. Martin and daughter Ruby, accompanied by Will Dankemyer as Chauffeur and
Lucas Hale, transacted business in Marshfield one day last week.
Geo.
Brooks arrived Tuesday from Morristown, S.D. to get his automobile. He will
return the fore part of next week, accompanied by his daughter Frances.
Mrs. Lizzie Montage went to Chili this week to visit her children.
Mrs.
Elmer Rose of Romadka visited her sister Mrs. John Breseman and Mrs. Ed Ure on
Monday.
Miss Electa Brooks met with a bad misfortune Monday while pumping
water, and not understanding the combination of the pump. The handle flew up and
struck her in the moth, breaking off one tooth, dislocating another and
lacerating her lip.
Mrs. Wm. Blake of Chicago and Mrs. Bertha Riedel of
Granton spent Sunday at Nitschke’s.
Mrs. Gassner of Whitehall is the
guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Jensen.
Mrs. John Lenhardt was taken very sick
one day last week with heart trouble. Dr. Murphy of Granton was called. She is
okay.
Mrs. Simpson returned from her trip to Indiana.
