Wojtkiewicz, William F. (4 JAN 1910 - 10 MAR 1963)
William F. Wojtkiewicz passed away suddenly March 10, 1963 at the farm of
his brother Louis.
William Wojtkiewicz was born Jan. 4, 1910 in the
township of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
He had attended the Sunny Lawn
rural school and graduated from the Thorp High School in 1928. He owned and
operated a shoe repair shop in Greenwood for several years. He sold his shoe
shop and went to Chicago to work in a garage until 1937. He then came back to
Thorp and made his home with his brother Lois on Honey Home Farm.
The
funeral services were held at the St. Hedwig’s Chapel, March 14, 1963 at 10
o’clock Mass. Rev. Edward Masalewicz officiated. Burial was in the St. Hedwig’s
New Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Edward Jasinski and Edward Budrus of
Lublin, Milton Ness of Appleton, Wis., Clarence Przybylski, Henry Cieslek and
Francis V. Andruskiewicz of Thorp.
Surviving are five brothers and five
sisters, Joseph, Edward and Frank of Chicago, Michael, Scottville, Mich. and
Louis of Thorp; Mrs. Charlotte Ferens of Harvey, Ill., Mrs. Harriet White of
Chicago, Mrs. Elizabeth Wojt, Anacortes, Wash., Mrs. Lillian Balcer and Mrs.
Lucille Wiernasz of Thorp.
The following relatives from out of town
attended the funeral: Mrs. John Garel, Ingleside, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Milton
Ness, Appleton, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Staszak and family, Green Bay, Wis.,
Mrs. Edward Bogowski, Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Alice Stasek, Stevens Point, Wis.,
Mr. and Mrs. George Gunderson, Fall Creek, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyer, Fall
Creek, Wis., and friends from Chicago, Barron, Abbotsford, Owen, Withee,
Stanley, Gilman and Lublin.
