Cukla, Walter (1879 - 29 MAR 1963)

After a brief illness, Walter Cukla, 83, passed away Friday evening, March 29th, 1963, at the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.

Walter is survived by his wife, Anna; nine children, Peter, Chicago; Paul, Thorp; Mrs. Harriet Novak, Stanley; John, Mrs. Walter (Catherine) Slovak, Charles, Frank, George, all of Chicago; Stanley of St. Paul, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Hedwig Soda of Thorp; and twenty-six grandchildren. One child preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 1st at St. Hedwig’s Chapel. Rev. Edward Masalewicz celebrated the Requiem High Mass and officiated at the burial in (New) St. Hedwig’s Cemetery at Thorp.

Those who served as pallbearers were John Zdrojkowski, Stanley Bielecki, Joseph F. Czech, Wallace Dobrzynski, Peter Flashinski and Stanley Dubicki.

Mr. Cukla was a member of the Polish National Alliance.
