Rembleski, Andrew S. (21 OCT 1876 - 3 APR 1963)

Andrew S. Rembleski, 87, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, on Wednesday, April 3, 1963, of old age.

Mr. Rembleski was born Oct. 21, 1876 in Poland, coming to the United States in 1889 and settling in Buffalo, N.Y. Later on he moved to Clark County (Wis.) and in 1911 moved to Gilman. Mr. Rembleski, a retired carpenter and mason, helped build many homes and farms around Thorp and Gilman. On May 8, 1900 he was united in marriage to Mary Cieslik at Thorp.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6 at Plombon Funeral Home, Gilman. Father Dzurko officiated and burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Harold Markiewicz, Wallace Borowski, Robert Vernig, Gary Wilcenski, Robert Kajowski and Robert Gay.

Surviving are five sons, Tony and Louis Rembleski, Gilman, Bill Rembleski, Chicago, John Rembleski, Handford, Calif., Ed Rembleski, Hastings, Minn.; seven daughters, (Bernice) Mrs. Stanley Palchenski, and (Frances) Mrs. Bert Seamann, Milwaukee, (Ann) Mrs. Ed Gay and (Mary) Mrs. Alois Wilcenski, Gilman, (Josephine) Mrs. Frank Markiewicz, Chicago, (Caroline) Mrs. Ben Vernig, Medford, Miss Victoria Rembleski, Owen; two brothers, George Rembleski, Menasha, Ed Rembleski, Oshkosh, one sister, Victoria Olysauski, South Bend, Ind.; 39 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. His wife and one son Steve preceded him in death.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ben Vernig and family, William Rembleski, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Markiewicz and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Borowski, Mrs. Bert Seamann, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kajowski and son, all of Milwaukee; William Gay, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cieslek, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Giwojna, Mr. and Mrs. J. Giwojna, Mr. and Mrs. E. Giwojna, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Giwojna, all of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. George Rembleski, Menasha, Ed Rembleski, Oshkosh; Mrs. Rose Mary Budzinski, Mrs. M. Bielecki and Mrs. Sylvia Mamayek, all of Thorp, and others from Thorp, Withee and Lublin.
