Andrew Ley has bought a new Chevrolet car
at Neillsville this week. Good work, Andrew, we all like to see you in line with
the rest of the car owners.
Andrew Reinwandt, the road boss in District
No. 6, has about completed the new pike running north of Fremont Town Hall. We
expect this is as good a piece of road for a dirt road as any in the country.
Al Christenson’s mother, who lives at Loyal, is very low at this writing.
Freeman Dankemyer, while starting the gas engine at the factory, hurt his
right arm very badly. The engine kicked back and nearly broke his wrist.
W.R. Happe and Fred Dankemyer installed a new Delaval cream separator at the
Riverside factory Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Christenson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Dankemyer called at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield last Sunday to see Mrs.
Roy Blocksidge, who was hurt in the motorcycle accident near Marshfield July
4th. She is getting along as well as can be expected.
Mr. and Mrs. Wellie
Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Muir, with Mr. Rodgers went to Hatfield Saturday,
returning Monday.
The barn dance at Chas. Beilke’s was well attended
Saturday night. There was a very large crowd from Heintown, Veefkind and other
distant place.
Miss Lizzie Krause assisted Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer inn her
household duties last week. Her brother Emil was there also building a garage
for Freeman’s new Ford, which he expects any day.
