Betty Jean Brecht and William Kenneth
Zarnke, route 2, Stratford were married Saturday, November 12 at the Clark
County Courthouse in Neillsville by Judge Lowell Schoengarth. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brecht, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. William Zarnke, Sr.
route 2, Stratford.
The bride donned a dress of lace tulle over satin in
a floor length with a sabrina neckline and long sleeves. Her fingertip veil was
held to a pearl tiara and she carried a cascade of red roses and white
carnations.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Wayne Birkett, Marathon and Mrs.
Clarence Zarnke was bridesmaid. They wore dresses of shadow-orchid and
shadow-blue respectively, with a jeweled midriff and matching tulle crown.
Best man for his brother was Clarence Zarnke of Stratford and Wayne Birkett
of Marathon served as groomsman.
Wedding dat events included a reception,
dinner and dance all held at the Riverview Ballroom in Stratford.
Mrs.
Zarnke attended Loyal schools and her husband attended the Stratford schools.
She has been employed at the McLellan Store Company in Marshfield and he is a
cheesemaker. The couple will reside at route 2, Stratford after a wedding trip
to northern Wisconsin.
