O’Black, Irene (23 July
1919-12 Dec 1960)
Mrs. Paul O’Black, 41, died at her home at 11:15 a.m.
Monday, December 12, succumbing to a lingering illness.
Funeral services
will be held in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
N. E. King officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The body
will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Tuesday evening and a
general rosary will be held there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. O’Black, the
former Irene Zager, was born in Willard July 23, 1919. She attended the Willard
State Graded school and was married to Paul O’Black January 5, 1937, in the Holy
Family Catholic Church in Willard.
After marriage they lived on a farm at
Willard until 1947 when the family moved to Loyal.
Mrs. O’Black was a
member of St. Mary’s Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband, three
daughters, Mrs. Carlton (Shirley) Beaver of Loyal, Mrs. Terrance (Carol) Stutte
of Franksville and Peggy at home; by one son, William at home; by her Father,
Peter Zager of Willard; by two sisters, Mrs. Matt (Ann) Merlak, Loyal, and Mrs.
Edward (Elsie) Perko, Willard; by three brothers, Peter Zager and Frank Zager of
Neillsville and Robert Zager of Thorp; and by three grandchildren.
