Mrs. Ed Hahm is
recovering from an operation at the hospital at Marshfield. Mr. and Mrs. Hahm
came from their home at Miles City, Mont. on July 4th.
C.A. Glick has
sold his farm known as the Hay’s place to a farmer from Ft. Atkinson who, with
his family, has taken possession. The Glick-Kidd families are at present living
over the cheese factory.
The laugh is on the bunch who went to the Pres.
Church Sunday evening expecting a preaching service. It seems next Sunday
evening is the time Rev. Ambrose is to preach.
Leonard White left here
Saturday to join Co. A. at Marshfield, of which he is a member. Leonard is a
good soldier and we cannot wish him greater success than to win glory for the
cause in France.
We are told there will soon be something coming at
Nasonville for a Red Cross benefit. Watch for further announcement.
The
immense crop of tame hay is going into the barns in good condition now. A little
rain in some place but on the whole the weather conditions are fine.
E.
Utter and family were out from Spencer Sunday looking over their farm here.
