The
Lutheran School closed Thursday for a brief vacation.
The annual mission
fest will be held in the grove near the church, a week from this coming Sunday.
Mrs. Clara Prock and children have moved to Neillsville and are making their
home with her mother, Mrs. Gall.
About 25 young people were at Erich
Schoenherr’s Sunday evening to celebrate Lily’s birthday.
Gus Kuhl has
taken the job hauling milk to the condensary, resigned by Erwin Schoenwetter.
The L. Zipfel family at South Grant visited Sunday at the Albert Hemp home.
Many from here attended the triple funeral of Nelda and Nora Wegner and
Leona Linster at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon.
Rev.
Parisius was at Neillsville Saturday afternoon to officiate at a marriage, and
Sunday afternoon he conducted services in that Lutheran Church, as Rev. Brandt
is attending the synod at Milwaukee.
Louis Prock, the Globe storekeeper,
is the proud owner of a new International truck.
John Dudei and wife
visited friends at Neillsville Sunday.
There was a dance at Julius
Better’s new barn Wednesday evening.
The Leonard Schultz and Ernest
Burnett families autoed to Loyal Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. August Worchel
has been at Neillsville the past two weeks and taking care of her mother, who is
ill.
