Bouquets of pink and white peonies
decorated the altar of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Saturday, June 15, 1963
for the marriage of Miss Darlene Soeller and A/2c Robert Olocki. Rev. F.
Brockman performed the 10 a.m. double ring ceremony.
Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Soeller, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Olocki, Thorp.
The bride, given in marriage by her
father, wore a dress styled with square neckline, ruffled with tiers of lace
tulle inset with sequins and rhinestones. The train of the dress was pinned up
into a bustle. A crown of four artificial orchids of satin held her free flowing
veil and she carried a bouquet of a white orchid center with pink sweetheart
roses.
Miss Marlene Soeller was her sister’s maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Stella Berliner, sister of the groom, and Sharon Kumbera,
cousin of the bride, all wearing street length dresses of mint green chiffon
over taffeta with nylon lace jackets. Each carried bouquets of daisies with
yellow roses. Mrs. Geraldine Soeller, sister of the bride, was junior
bridesmaid, wearing a white nylon street length dress with satin ribbon in the
skirt and sleeves and she carried a colonial bouquet of daisies.
Bob
Fisher, cousin of the groom, was best man and groomsmen were Ken Fisher, cousin
of the groom and Larry Moskiewicz, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Dennis
Moskiewicz and roger Kumbera, cousin s of the bride. Arden Geisler, cousin of
the bride, was junior attendant.
A dinner was held at St. Bernard’s
Church basement and a buffet supper at the bride’s home.
The bride
attended Thorp High School and Madison Business College, and is a typist at the
University of Wisconsin Purchasing Dept. The groom attended Thorp High School
and is an electronics instructor with the United States Air Force at Keesler Air
Force Base, Miss., where they will make their home.
Out of town guests
attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Benzschawel, Liz Falk, Bette
Butek, Judy Kiweko, Sharon Hewett, all of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Kumbera and
family, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Geisler and son of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Brekow of Cosmopolis, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. H.N. Fisher and family of
Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Berliner of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Slowiak and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Wartolec of Stanley.
