Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stange, with Mrs. Wm. Free and daughters Beth and Helen, autoed over from Neillsville and visited town friends Friday evening.

Miss Gertrude Kimball spent the weekend here with the W.S. Davis family and returned to Marshfield Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bollom and their three children of Sheldon came Saturday for a visit with the Chas. Bollom family.

Mr. and Mrs. P.P. Kropp of Washington, after a visit with old friends at Marshfield, returned to the S. Rounseville home on Route 1, Saturday.

Mrs. Richard Anding and son Verland, with Mrs. F.W. Cotton and daughter Marvel, all of Altoona, came Saturday on a visit to relatives of the former in the Phil Breseman home.

Rev. and Mrs. Batchelor of Birnamwood, Rev. and Mrs. H. Lothian and daughter Ramona, and Miss Lucile Potter of City Point autoed here and were guests of the Byrl Winn family, Tuesday.

Dr. and Mrs. Rath left by auto for Cataract early Sunday morning and Mr. and Mrs. Hug Berg took the noon train for Black River Falls and joined them there for the trip home that afternoon.

Mrs. F.W. Cotton and daughter Marvel, after a weekend visit at Phil Breseman’s, went home to Altoona on Monday.

Mrs. Kops is here from Unity caring for her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Kurth, and the latter’s baby boy since his birth on Sunday, July 15th, 1917. Richard Kurth autoed to Unity and brought her home with him that day.

Aug. Sternitzky of Forest Park, Ill., is here on a visit to the F.D. and Aug. Riedel and Carl Loeffler families since Saturday. Mrs. Sternitzky is expected to join him here next week.

W.W. Toptine, an old and highly respected Neillsville resident, died at Rib Lake July 17th, 1917. The body was brought to Neillsville last week Thursday and the funeral held from the Presbyterian church that day.

Little Nellie Johnson is carrying her right arm in a sling the past 10 days, the result of two bad falls. The first one was had from a cart and upon the new cement walk in front of their house. An abscess developed and must needs be, professionally care for.
