Mrs. Harry Eide and Mrs. Frank Gardner were Neillsville
visitors Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman were at Granton and attended
the dance given for the benefit of the Red Cross on Saturday evening.
Mr.
and Mrs. John Henning, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Henning, Mr. Jake Henning, Mrs. Anna
Mundt, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Verkilen and Miss Catherine Henning of Marshfield autoed
to Edgar last Wednesday to attend the funeral of a relative there that day.
Mrs. Eliza Henning and Mrs. Geo. Waterman were at Marshfield last Thursday
having dental work done.
Mrs. Adolph Pusheck, who was alarmingly ill two
weeks since, now is well on the gain and up a portion of each day since late
last week.
John Sweet, one of our old settlers, died last week Thursday.
He had been sick for almost a year. See obituary elsewhere.
Geo. Waterman
bought the property formerly owned by Jake Hoffman. The papers were made out
Monday. Mr. Hoffman moved to Marshfield where he is carrying on the saloon
business.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Hogenson enjoyed the company of a crowd from
New London for several days.
A heavy rain settled the dust of this
country. Hot weather followed the rain, so the corn can grow all it wants to. It
is growing.
