Funeral services for Adam A. Pozdell
were held Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, with
Father George Mathieu officiating. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mr. Pozdell, 64, of the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), Route 3, Stanley,
passed away at his home Saturday morning after a lingering illness. He was born
in Chicago Feb. 9, 1899, the son of Jacob and Maryann Pozdell. As a young man he
worked as a press man in the printing business. He married Josephine Posda at
St. Mary’s Junction in 1931 and farmed in the Town of Thorp, Clark County until
1934, when he moved to their present home in Worden; from 1945 to 1949 he worked
in Chicago at the printing business.
Surviving him are his wife, one son
John at home, three daughters, Lucille Pozdell, Milwaukee, Mrs. Richard (Mary)
Gnutek, Chicago, Mrs. Richard (Frances) Polnaszek, Abbotsford; one brother, Leo,
Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Miller, Denver, Colo.; Miss Rose Pozdell,
Chicago, and Mrs. Verne Rusin, Chicago; six grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters.
