Lynn Crash Victims Die (15 August 2012)

A 90-year old Marshfield woman and a 69-year old Black River Falls woman have died from injuries resulting from an Aug. 5, 2012 crash on USH 10 in the Township of Lynn.

Sunday, Aug 5, 2012, at about 5:15 p.m. the Clark County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call of a two-vehicle head-on collision on USH 10 near Catlin Avenue.

Initial investigation indicates a westbound vehicle, driven by Diane C. Mitchell, 69, Granton, crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a vehicle head-on. Mitchell was killed instantly, and a passenger in her vehicle, Donna R. Tichey, 69, of Black River Falls, received serious injury. Tichy was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

The east-bound vehicle, driven by Ramona E. Griffith, 57, of Marshfield, and a passenger Catherine E. Ruetten, 90, of Marshfield, both initial received incapacitating injuries and were also transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, Ruetten passed away from her injuries. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, Tichey passed away from her injuries.

Investigation is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department. The Granton Fire Department, Granton First Responders, Neillsville ambulance, Spirit of Marshfield and Marshfield Fire and Rescue all assisted at the scene.

These are the fifth and sixth traffic fatalities in Clark County for 2012.
