Taday, Mary Ann (16 July 1924 - 14 July 2012)
Mary Ann Taday, 87, of Midland, Michigan, died on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at
Toni & Trish House, where she had a been a guest since June 15th. A memorial
service will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at St.
Stanislaus Church in Lublin, with Father John Long officiating. Internment of
her cremains will take place at the St. Stanislaus parish cemetery in Lublin.
Her daughter, Carolann Maxwell will serve as pallbearer.
The former Mary
Ann Gizzi was born on July 16, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, to Anthony and
Beatrice (Campolini) Gizzi. She attended schools in the Detroit area. On August
31, 1973, she married Leon Mark Taday, who preceded her in death on October 7,
1991. Mary Ann and Mark lived in Livonia, Michigan, and both worked at General
Motors for many years before moving to Wisconsin in 1974. Mark was a partner in
JerMar Logging prior to his death. Mary Ann worked in the activities department
at Victory Memorial Hospital Nursing Home in Stanley for many years prior to her
retirement, and she was very active in the parish activities of St. Stanislaus.
She moved to Midland, Michigan in 2002.
Survivors include her daughter,
Carolann (Denny) Maxwell, of Midland, Michigan; two brothers: Tully Gizzi, of
Alameda, California, and Lewis (Nancy) Gizzi, of South Lyon, Michigan;
sisters-in-law: Madeline Gizzi, of Oak Park, Michigan, Ann Gizzi, of Livonia,
Michigan, and Lenore Kempster, of Livonia, Michigan; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in
death by three brothers: Al, Louis and Dominic; a sister, Ida Mazzoni;
brother-in-law, Peter Mazzoni; and sister-in-law, Clare Gizzi.
