Shirley A. Johnson, 80, Spencer, went home to our
heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
The Funeral will be
Friday, September 7, 2012, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at 11 in Greenwood
Wis.; the family will receive family and friends at 9 until the time of service.
Pastor Brian Campbell will officiate and pallbearers will be her grandsons
and nephews.
Shirley was born December 9, 1931, in Missouri, the daughter
of Elliott and Missouri Ida (Jarrett) McDaniel, she received her education in a
Coffman Grade school. She worked in St Louis for an airplane Company assembling
parts. She married Calvin (Kelly) Johnson on December 17, 1953, in Farmington,
Missouri. They moved to Loyal, Wisconsin in September 1960 and ran the family
farm until Kelly passed away February 26, 1984. Shirley moved to Spencer, where
she got her Drivers Licenses and her GED. She then worked for Fiskers for about
10 years until her retirement.
Shirley's hobbies include sewing and
alterations for people, crocheting, baking, playing Uno with her grandson,
Wesley and great-grandson, Drake. She was a very generous lady and loved by all
who met her
Shirley was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sue of Spencer; and son, Ron (Annette)
Johnson of Spencer; grandsons, Shaun (Heather) Johnson of Spencer; Brandon
(fiancee, Jamie Rahn) of Greenleaf, WI; Wesley (fiancee, Sara Krier) of Spencer
WI; and a great-grandson, Drake of Spencer; and step-great- granddaughter,
Jordan Dombrowicki of Greenleaf, WI.; siblings, Helen McDaniel of Farmington,
Mo.;, Rita (Glen) Wiegenstein of Georgetown, TX; Barb (Ron) Straughan of
Farmington, Mo; Mike McDaniel of Farmington, Mo.
Shirley was preceded in
death by her parents; her husband, Calvin; brother, Elbert McDaniel;
sisters-in-law, Cindy McDaniel, and Sally McDaniel.
Cuddle Funeral Home
of Loyal is assisting the family with the arrangement.
