Miss Joann R. Mickett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Mickett, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Pfc. Peter Moskiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moskiewicz, Thorp, on Saturday, Jul 20th, 1963 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. Francis Brockman performed the ten a.m. double ring Nuptial High Mass and the senior choir sang the Nuptial Mass.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an elegant chapel length bridal gownof lace and silk organza. A scoop neckline with shirred elbow length sleeves scented the fitted lace bodice. Her bouffant silk organza skirt was styled with soft pleats and two vertical panels of lace in front and in back.

She wore a crown of lace trimmed with eparls and crystals which secured her fingertip veiling of pure silk illusion and she carried a cascade bouquet of white stephanotis, pink sweetheart roses and ivey.

Miss Mary Ann Nedza, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Judy Bonomo, cousin of the bride, Carol Teig, friend of the bride, and Sharon Buckino, cousin of the groom, wearing street length, Sata Peau dresses of peach. Their draped necklines with short cap sleeves accented the fitted bodice. A dome skirt was offset by a large Sata Peau cabbage rose to the enter front of the skirt.

They wore rose crowns with petals that were accented with glitter and held their bustle veils and each carried cascade bouquets of white carnations and plumosis ferns.

Miniature bride was Cynthia Moskiewicz, sister of the groom and Nancy Godbout, cousin of the bride was flower girl. The miniature bride was attired in a gown like the bride’s and carried a similar bouquet. The flower girl wore a white street length dress and carried a bouquet similar to the bridesmaids.

Larry Moskiewicz was his brother’s best man, and groomsmen were Dennis Moskiewicz, brother of the groom, Tom Grendzinski and Larry Ciolkosz, friends of the groom. Ushers were Clarence Turenne and Bernard Przybylski, friend. Miniature groom was Joey Laska, cousin of the groom, and Larry Moskiewicz, brother of the groom, was ring bearer.

A breakfast, dinner, reception and dance were held at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall. Miss Mavis Fehr, Eau Claire, was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Clarence Welzien, Greenwood, served as hostess.

Serving as altar boys were Kenneth Godbout, St. Paul, cousin of the bride, and David Ebben, Thorp, cousin of the groom.

The bride’s mother wore a street length dress of light blue lace over satin. She chose white accessories and a corsage of pink sweetheart roses. The groom’s mother chose a coffee color lace dress of street length. She also wore white accessories and chose a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses.

The bride attended Thorp High School, Wis. sate Colelge, Eau Claire and Eau Claire Vocation and Adult School. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper at American National Bank, Eau Claire. The groom attended Thorp High School, Wis. State College, Eau Claire, and is presently with the United States Army.
