Schmidt, Roger A. (13 NOV 1951 - 31 JUL 1963)

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 1963 for Roger A. Schmidt, 11, who was killed in a train-truck accident on Wednesday, July 31st, 1963.

Roger, a student at St. Bernard’s Catholic School in Thorp, was born Nov. 13, 1951.

Rev. Francis Brockman officiated at the ten a.m. service at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, and burial was in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Joseph Possley, Charles Alger, Mark Hermsen, Kenneth Morgan, Richard Wyczawski and Timmy Smith.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond W. Schmidt, one brother Robert, three sisters, Janice, Ardie and Lois, all at home, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. George J. Schmidt.
