A party was held Tuesday at Mr.
Sam Greene’s in honor of his mother who expects to leave Thursday for Indiana to
visit a daughter. A very large crowd was present and a very nice time was had
visiting and listening to music. A nice lap lunch was served. All went home
wishing Mrs. Greene a safe journey and to see her back this way some time.
Alfred Webster and wife from Brule, Wis. came down for a short visit with
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Hungerford entertained a house
full of visitors from Granton Sunday.
Monday afternoon the R.N.A. had a
special meeting in order to get Mrs. Mabel Dickerson into the lodge in July.
Mr. Brooks and Emma Brooks visited at Fred Hill’s and in the afternoon they
autoed to Marshfield to see the motor races.
Aug. 8th Ladies Aid will
meet at Mr. R. Nason’s for the afternoon. All are invited.
Rev. F. Halsey
Ambrose will preach at Nasonville Church Sunday night, Aug. 5th.
Some
have finished haying and some have not. The hay is such a crop in some places
that it is a lot of work this year. The more the better.
Mrs. Paul Bealer
was taken very sick last Saturday, but at present is on the gain.
