Edward A. Beaver, 68, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday,
January 31 at the River Pines Sanitarium in Stevens Point where he had been a
patient for the past six weeks.
The body will lie in state at the Myre
Funeral Home beginning Wednesday evening and a general rosary service will be
said Thursday evening at 8:30. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday
morning at St Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. E. King officiating and
interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Edward Beaver was born
June 1, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. John Beaver on a farm in the town of Loyal. He
attended school there and lived in the Loyal area for all his life. He
maintained a business in the city of Loyal for seven years in the Joe Wedl
building which is now owned by Al Kanneberg. Later he worked for four years
during the summers in a resort and for the past year and a half had been living
at the home of his brother, Matt Beaver in rural Colby. He was a member of St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Mr. Beaver is survived by three brothers,
William Beaver of Loyal, Bernard Beaver of Marshfield and Matt Beaver of Colby
and by one sister, Mrs. John (Bertha) Dean of Compton, California. He was
preceded in death by eight brothers and six sisters.
