Miss Patricia A. Wagener, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John P. Wagener, Rt. 3, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Joseph W. Schrank,
Madison, sonof Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schrank, Rt. 2, Westfield, were married at
10:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24th, 1963 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Chapel in Thorp.
Celebrant at the Mass was the Rev. Msgr. Anthony P. Wagener of La Crosse,
the bride’s brother. John Wagener Jr. was an altar boy.
Joseph Kugee and
David Zawadzki were the ushers for the ceremony, during which “Ave Maria” was
played by the organist. St. Hedwig’s senior choir sang the Nuptial High Mass.
Harley Schrank, Portage, was best man, and Terry Dorn, Madison and Dale
Selk, Westfield, were the groomsmen.
Miss Carole Jean Wagener of
Greenwood, the maid of honor, wore a mint green sheath with a short overskirt
and matching veil. Her flowers were yellow carnations and white chrysanthemums.
The bridesmaids, Miss Susan Wagener, Rt. 3, Greenwood, and Miss Lori
Schrank, Madison, were similarly attired.
Geri Mae Wagener, the flower
girl, wore a mint green frock similar to the other aids. She had a yellow and
white floral wreath and carried a white basket containing yellow chrysanthemums.
Michael Schrank, Portage, was the ring bearer.
The bride, presented in
marriage by her father, wore a full length white gown of oriental silk over
taffeta. The neckline and skirt were edged with Chantilly lace trim. Her veil
was attached to a soft petal crown worn on her upper forehead and carried pink
roses.
St. Hedwig’s Hall was the scene of the 12 o’clock, the 1:00 p.m.
reception, and the 5:30 fuffet lunch. Approximately 300 guests were present.
After a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone National Park, the newlyweds will be at
home at 431 Lily Drive, Madison, Wis.
The bride formerly worked as a
licensed practical nurse and her husband is employed by the Steel Form
Construction Co.
Out of town guests were from Jim Falls, Milwaukee,
Chippewa Falls, Colby, Madison, Marshfield, Eau Claire and Westfield.
