Szymanski, Mr./Mrs. Art (Silver - 27 AUG 1963)
To
celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Art Szymanski commenced
the day by attending 8 o’clock mass at St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Father Edward
Masalewicz as celebrant.
For the renewal of her vows Mrs. Szymanski was
attired in a Crystal beaded French blue suit of tissue crepe with hat and gloves
to match, with black accessories, and wore a white and silver corsage. Mrs.
Szymanski chose navy blue for his suit with a white boutonniere.
A
breakfast for the family and relatives was served at their home. St. Hedwig’s
Altar Society served a delicious 6 o’clock dinner at the American Legion Hall
with settings for one hundred and fifty guests. Each guest was pinned with a
silver corsage.
Shared by friends was the three tiered wedding cake bake
and decorated by Mrs. Val Lewandowski. It was trimmed with silver bells and
lilies of the valley and crowned with a silver loving cup.
The highlight
of the evening was a mock wedding with Dr. B. Slota uniting the bride, hak
Novobielski and the groom, Cecelia Parks. Louis Szymanski acted as ring bearer
and Mrs. Louis Szymanski, the bride’s father, gave her away.
The rest of
the evening was spent dancing to the music of the Two Bobs.
