Konwinski, Mr./Mrs. Peter (Gold - 29 SEP
1963)
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Konwinski observed the Golden Anniversary of
their marriage on Sunday, Sept. 29. The day began when they attended Mass at the
St. Ann’s Catholic Church, where they are members.
The former Vera Banark
and Peter Konwinski were married on Sept. 29, 1913 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic
Church in Genoa, Neb. They farmed there for 10 years, when they came to
Wisconsin and farmed in the Town of Worden (Clark Co.) until their retirement
and are now living in Stanley.
The bride of fifty years ago wore a brown
crepe dress with gold metallic thread, brown accessories and a corsage of yellow
roses and carnations with gold leaves. Mr. Konwinski had a yellow carnation
boutonniere on the lapel of his dark suit.
About 100 guests called during
the afternoon at their home at 21 1st Ave. to congratulate them. Buffet style
refreshments were served. Gold streamers were used in decoration with gold
tapers. The centerpiece was a beautiful four tier wedding cake decorated and
baked by their daughter Mrs. John Holewinski Sr. Also a gold coin tree and a
lovely yellow mum plant presented by their grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. The jubilarians were the recipients of many lovely cards,
gifts, bouquets of flowers and a purse of money.

John (Tillie) Holewinski Sr., Thorp, Mrs. Charles (Theresa) Gazda, Chicago, Mrs.
