Mr. Treichel finished haying
Saturday. He used his auto truck to help haul hay up to the stacks.
Amy
Lee took supper with Marjorie and Josephine Pietenpol Sunday night, who are
chief cooks since their mother is away and would remind one of the gold dust
twins as they did the washing and baked bread on Monday.
Truman Davis,
wife and daughter autoed to Joe Sneberk’s Sunday after church.
Eldred
Davis spent Sunday with Maynard Cole.
Mrs. Neil Kidd and baby Leon James
were seen on our streets Sunday.
Ross Root came home Friday to attend the
examination of the drafted soldiers on Saturday.
Rush Wentworth went to
Neillsville Saturday to be examined for a soldier, but we understand he failed
to pass on account of a broken ankle, which he had some time ago.
Mr. and
Mrs. Schafer of Granton spent Sunday with their son and wife.
Solon Davis
is the owner of an auto since last week.
W.B. Wentworth visited his son
Rush here this week.
Joe Hefty is working at Granton loading heading.
Jennie and Clarence Ackerman went to Columbus Saturday on a visit to their
sister, Mrs. Alvin Pischer.
Truman Davis went as far as Merrillan Friday
with Mrs. John Pietenpol, daughter and niece.
