The second showers have been
very beneficial to the crops in this neighborhood.
Mrs. Harvey Hill,
formerly of this township, but now of Glidden, is back visiting old friends.
Miss Mabel Kirk and Mr. L.G. Emerson, who have been spending their vacation
with Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Redman, have returned to Chicago.
Mrs. Bertha
Frechette and sons Ralph and Louis Sholtz were Neillsville visitors last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schwanebeck entertained at dinner Thursday evening, Mr.
and Mrs. D. Ruggles of Baraboo, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. M. Redman, Miss Mable Kirk,
Mr. L.G. Emerson of Chicago, and Mrs. Harvey Hill.
We are glad to report
that Paul Schwanebeck is improving.
The auction at Mr. Blakeley’s last
week Thursday was well attended. The last report from Mrs. Blakeley was that she
had another operation and was doing nicely.
Mrs. G.M. Redman and Miss
Isabelle Frechette were Shortville visitors on Monday.
Mrs. C. Gall was a
Granton caller Monday.
