place at 11 a.m. when Elaine Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Davis of
West Milwaukee became the bride of Donald Jacques. Father Edward Lanzilla

musical selections were sung by the bride’s brother, Russell Davis.
The
bride, attired in a floor length nylon gown with fitted bodice and train was
given in marriage by her father. Her nylon fingertip veil was secured by a crown
of seed pearls and she carried white roses and white orchids accented by
streamers.
She chose as her matron of honor, her sister, Mrs. Paul
Gorence, and bridesmaids, Mrs. Ronald Melhum, a friend, Jeanne and Jeanette
Davis, nieces of the bride, Marilyn Fowler, a friend, and another niece, Diane
Davis as junior bridesmaid. They all wore gold colored street length dresses
with headpieces to match, and carried bouquets of bronze mums.
Attending
the groom as best man was his brother Duane Jacques of Milwaukee, Clayborne
Ebben of Thorp, Tom Jacques, brother of the groom, Jerome Glowacki and Roger
Davis of Milwaukee, brother of the bride. Serving as ushers were Ray and Robert
Davis of Milwaukee.
At St. John the Evangelist Church Hall, dinner was
served at 1 p.m. to the immediate wedding party and a reception there at 8 p.m.
for guests number about 350.
The large five tier wedding cake was the
artistic work of a friend, Louise Papierniak.
The newlyweds are on a trip
through Canada, Niagara Falls and upper New York, and will be at home at 2407 S.
