Vater, Mr./Mrs. Robert #2 (70th - 18 NOV 1963)

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vater spent their honeymoon attending the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. Monday will note their 70th wedding anniversary at the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Because of ill health, the couple will not hold an open house. Vater and his wife Henrietta both are 93 and children of Civil War veterans.

Mr. and Mrs. Vater are natives of Plymouth and have been residents of the Owen-Withee area of Clark County since 1906. They are retired farmers.

They have six children: Carl, Neil and Arno, Withee; Mrs. Niles Moody, Madison; Mrs. L. (Norviel) Woodburn, Elmhurst, Ill.; and Mrs. Raymond Jones, Randolph. The couple also has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
