Bowen, Aurilla (20 APR 1915 - 23 SEP 2012)
Aurilla Bowen, age 97, of
Colby, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Golden Living
Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford.
Her funeral service will be at
11AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev.
Mark Neumann will officiate. Committal services will follow in Colby Memorial
Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday at the
church in Colby from 10AM until time of services

Home and Cremation Service in Spencer is assisting Aurilla's family.
Aurilla was born April 20, 1915 in Colby, daughter of the late William and Emma
(Dins) Staffeil.
She was united in marriage to John Bowen on August 19,
1933 at Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Colby. Sadly, her husband John died in
September of 1985. Aurilla was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Her
hobbies included knitting and cooking delicious dishes and breads for her
grandkids. Aurilla was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is
survived by her daughter, Shirley (Michael) Wiese of Colby; three
granddaughters: Cathy Smith of Monroe; Scheree (Chuck) Krueger of Sun Prairie;
Traci (Brad) Geiger of Dorchester; two grandsons: Marvin (Pam) Smith of Sun
Prairie; Kevin (Tina) Wiese of Colby; eight great grandchildren and two great
great grandchildren; one sister Leona Koffarnus of Abbotsford along with many
other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Aurilla was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband, John; one daughter: Geraldine Smith; one
brother: Roger and two sisters: Laura Schmidt and Alice Karsten
