Funeral services for Edmund
C. Amdahl, 30, a resident of West Maple St., Stanley, who was killed Thursday
noon when his milk truck rolled over him, was held Monday afternoon, Dec. 9, at
2 o’clock at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley. Rev. Carl Peters
officiated, with interment in the East Side Cemetery.
Mr. Amdahl was born
in Thorp Township, Clark County, Feb. 3, 1933, the son of Edward and Harriet
Amdahl. He graduated from the Stanley High School in 1951, and entered the U.S.
Navy Air Corps in 1952. He was stationed at Corpus Christie, Texas and
Jacksonville, Fla., and spent six months in the Mediterranean, receiving his
honorable discharge in 1956. He farmed for one year with his father and then
started hauling milk for the Falls Dairy in Stanley. His marriage to Shirley
Kosar took place at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stanley Oct. 18, 1958.
He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his
wife, Shirley; two children, Jerome and Sandra, both at home; his father, Edward
of Stanley, and two foster sisters, Mrs. Dale (Janet) Booth, South Ben, Wash.,
and Mrs. Clarence (Marian) Holter of Portland, Ore. His mother preceded him in
death.
