McQuade, Tim (17 Feb 1961-21 Sept 2012)

Tim McQuade, 51, Neillsville, passed on to eternal life on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in the Palliative Care Unit of Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, after a 4 month battle with aplastic thyroid cancer. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Rev. Joe weiers of the Hillside Community Church in Neillsville will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

Timothy Raymond McQuade was born on Feb. 17, 1961, in Spooner, the son of Raymond and Betty (nee Roberts) McQuade. He graduated from Spooner High School in 1979. He moved to Neillsville I 1982 to manage the Strike Time Lanes Bowling Alley. He then managed the Neillsville Country Club from 1988-1990. He also owned The Merchant’s Hotel in Neillsville and operated “The Cellar Bar”. On Dec. 30, 1996, he married Julie Lueck in Branson, Mo. For the past 21 years, Tim owned and operated McQuade Financial Services along with his wife, Julie, from their home in Neillsville. Tim’s continued education culminated with degrees at Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). He served on numerous financial association boards including Central Wisconsin NAIFA and FIFE. Tim had a joy and passion that touched many people in various walks and circles of life. His love of golfing, hunting, Boy Scouting and watching the Packers and Brewers kept him active and entertained, along with his love for Diet Coke and Texas Hold’ Em. He also loved spending time at his woods and cabin with his family and friends and his beagle, Lucy. Tim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; three sons, Jared McQuade, Grand Forks, N.D., Jacob McQuade, Maple Grove, Minn., and Logan McQuade, Neillsville; a granddaughter, Penelope Ann McQuade; two brothers, Randall (Cheri) McQuade, Spooner, and Samuel (Lorri) McQuade, Spencer; one sister, Pamela (Perry) retterling, Tuscon, Ariz; his mother-in-law, Gerry Lueck, Neillsville; his sisters/brothers in law, Sharon (Daniel) Helwig, Marshfield, Linda (Mark) Hemp, Neillsville, Janis (Michael) Truax, Northfield, Minn, and Donna (Scott) Stejskal, Grand Rapids, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty McQuade, and his father-in-law, Wilmar Lueck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tim’s family for designation at a later date.
