The
young people enjoyed the 4th picnicking in Pine Valley in the fine grove west of
the city of Neillsville.
Mrs. Bott and daughter Theresa have come from
Chicago where Miss Theresa just graduated from one of that city’s high schools
last week and joined Mr. Bott at their new home, the old Bernhard Jahr farm,
where they are now cozily settled.
Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister
and daughter Anita and Mrs. Otis Slocomb autoed to Marshfield and spent the day
with the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. George Huckstead.
The Ridge was well
represented at the Holstein Breeder’s cow testing association picnic at John
Pietenpol’s home last Sunday. The Arlo Huckstead, Bert Swan, Jas. Hughes, Sam
Cook, Otis Slocomb, Geo. Howard, E.A. Schroeder families were among those
attending.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dux, with Mr. and Mrs. Clmens Kuechenmeister,
autoed to Globe last Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Meihak.
Dan Hughes is home from Covington, Ind. since the Fourth. He reports Mrs. Hughes
and baby Joseph Michael to be well and happy.
