Mrs.
Wm. Foemmel’s sister and husband autoed up from Chetek the first of last week on
a short visit.
Will Foemmel and family, with their sister and husband,
went to Tioga one day last week on a visit to their sisters, the Mesdames
Theodore and Ed Ziegler.
Mary Hefty returned from Tinley late last week
whiter she has been assisting her sister Mrs. Harry Cattanach in getting settled
in their new home.
School meeting was held Monday, July 2nd, in District
No. 3 and Geo. Hales was elected Clerk.
Glen Nonhof returned Monday from
a week’s visit with relatives in Unity.
Gladys Olenberg from Unity, who
spent the past week here with her Aunt Mrs. Nonhof, returned home on Monday.
The Mesdames John Pietenpol, Al Nonhof and Truman Davis joined the Red Cross
Society at Granton last Friday.
Mrs. Christine Ketel from California
visited old friends here last week before returning home.
Berdine Kihn
made a weekend visit at John Pietenpol’s.
Dale Lee was taken to the
hospital at Eau Claire last week for an operation for appendicitis.
The
wedding bells rang Saturday night when Mariah Davis and Ray Mortimer were
married.
The cow testing association held their first picnic in John
Pietenpol’s grove last Sunday. May there be many more was the wish of all
present.
Dr. Abbott of Marshfield was a caller here Friday.
Miss
Haidee Beeckler has been hired to teach school in District No. 3 for the coming
year.
Truman Davis made a business trip to Chili on Tuesday.
