Mr. and Mrs. C.L.
Winn and Fred Wright and daughter Alta were county seat visitors last Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tyler and son Lloyd and Mr. and Mrs. M. Dorst and sons
Leonard and Ray and daughter Elsie attended song practice at Price Lee’s
Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Hales and daughter Edna visited the
Orren Montgomery family Friday evening.
Miss Alta Wright spent Thursday
night with the Misses Jean, Sara and Ursula Davis.
The J.B. Club held
their business meeting at the Dorst home Saturday evening. A large crowd was in
attendance and a good time was had in spite of rain and mud.
A large
crowd attended the picnic given by the Granton Cow Testing Association in John
Pietenpol’s grove Sunday.
Miss Nell Dorst and her sister Mable and Lois
Johnson came home from Rozellville Saturday evening. Nell and Lois returned on
Monday morning’s train.
Cleo Rowe spent from Wednesday until Sunday
evening with her cousins Irma, Ila and Fern Rowe at their home near York Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Manthey and daughter spent Sunday afternoon at Fred
Wright’s.
Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Davis came home Tuesday morning from
Milwaukee where they had been to attended the funeral of their nephew, Loren
Davis.
Mrs. Loren Hales was taken seriously ill Thursday and on Friday,
in company with her husband and Dr. Murphy, went to Marshfield where she
underwent an operation for appendicitis. She is reported as doing as well as
could be expected at this writing.
Mrs. Alice Hatch spent Friday
afternoon with Mrs. F. Wright.
Mrs. Geo. Hales and sister called at the
A.W. Phipps home Monday on their way to Granton.
At the school meeting in
District No. 3 Monday evening, Geo. Hales was elected clerk in place of C.L.
Winn, who resigned.
Mrs. M. Dorst spent Monday evening with A.W. Phipps
while the men folks attended school meeting.
The J.B. Daughhetee and
Ralph Hatch families spent last Sunday evening at Fred Wright’s.
Mr. and
Mrs. C.L. Winn and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright were among the Granton boosters on
their trip last week Tuesday.
Dr. and Mrs. Gustave Eberhardt of Chicago
visited his cousin Oscar Eberhardt here on Route 1 the first of the week.
