Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grey attended the funeral of their son-in-law, Earl P. Johnson, 32, Tuesday after he had apparently died from suffocation early Friday Morning. He also suffered burns from a fire which brgan in the living room of his Grand Rapids home.

Damage was placed at $3,500 from the fire was believed to have started when Johnsao fell aspeep with a lighted cigarette. Mrs. Johnson, the former Lavern Grey, was in a Riverview Hospital at that time and the children were staying with various relatives.
