Mrs. Abie Turner and Mrs. S.A. Lindsley made a flying trip to Loyal Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Rowe and Mrs. Forest Rowe were Granton callers on Monday.

A.C. Turner and wife and Forest Rowe and wife spent Sunday evening at the John Begley home.

John Vandeberg and wife and daughter, and Horace Vandeberg and family spent Sunday at Marshfield.

Mrs. Maggie Free spent Sunday at the R. Free home. She came last week from Portland, Ore., where she has been for two months. She came to Portland from China. Her husband and daughter are in China. Mr. Free is a millwright and gets big wages there. Mrs. Free expects to return to China this fall.

Warren Turner spent the day Tuesday with his brother Abie. Warren came from Montana 2 weeks ago and he says the best crops he saw on the way were in Clark County.

The hard windstorm Tuesday rolled the oats as flat to the ground as they can be.

Ed Voigt and wife spent Sunday at E.M. Schoenfeld’s.

Mrs. V. Burrows of Chicago is spending a few days here with friends.

Louis Lawrence of Marshfield is working for J. Vandeberg.

Henry Grossneck was a caller at Abie Turner’s Sunday.

The storm Tuesday took the eave spouts off Walter Rowe’s barn.

Martin O’Brien is working for Mr. Free.

E. G. Rowe went to Jesse Mortimer’s Tuesday and got a hay loader.

The Ladies Aid of the York Center Methodist Episcopal Church will have an ice cream social next Tuesday evening in the hall opposite the church.
