Weaver, Randine L. (Katayama) (20 APR 1944 -
22 SEP 2012)
Randine L. Weaver, 68, Abbotsford, died Saturday, Sept. 22,
2012, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital where she had been a patient for the past
18 days.
Randine was born April 20, 1944, in Ladysmith. She graduated
from high school in Buena Park, CA and received her associated degree in
computer programming from ITT Tech in Ohio.
She married Robert Weaver on
October 13, 1981, in Youngstown, OH. Randine worked as a deli clerk at Giant
Eagle in Ohio for nine years and as a caretaker for Home Health Care for seven
years until her retirement in 2010. She volunteered at Indianhead in Medford.
In her younger years, she was a hula dancer. Randine was an avid reader,
enjoyed fishing, decorating for weddings, crafts and sewing. Randine was a
member of Grace Communion International Church, Wausau and Word of God
Fellowship in Canfield, OH.
She is survived by her husband, Robert
Weaver, Abbotsford; children Garilynn Venny, OH; Adrian Weaver, OH; Robert
Weaver Jr., OH; Lanard Weaver, NY; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Frank (Elvira) Weaver, OH; Rich Katayama, Medford; David (Kathy)
Cristofoli, Medford; two sisters, Kim (Vern) Helland, Abbotsford; Janice (Rich)
Ostir, Medford.
Randine was preceded in death by her siblings, Tom,
Willie, Johnny, Willa Mae and Vivian Weaver; her biological father, Hachiro
Katayama; step-father John Christoli; mother Lois (Finley) Cristofoli; and one
grandson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, at Hemer
Funeral Home, Medford. Rev. Lynne Pahl will preside. Visitation will be from 4
to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, at Hemer Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until the
time of services Friday.
