A Miss Liston, a kindergarten teacher in
Fond du Lac, visited a few days last week with her old friend Mrs. Sherrett.
John Kauth and family started Sunday evening on an auto trip, visiting
relatives at Stratford, Marshfield and other places, returning Monday evening,
bringing a niece, Mrs. Clouck, with them. She returned to her home Wednesday of
this week.
Ross Galbreath started on a business trip to Oconomowoc on
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Furgeson returned Wednesday from Madison where
he underwent a difficult operation for appendicitis and gall stones. He is
reported as doing very nicely.
Miss Beatrice Lezotte of Alma Center has
been making an extended visit among friends in this community and Shortville.
Rev. Mallory will preach in the Union Church Sunday evening, Aug. 26th.
There was a jolly gathering at J. Ziemmendorf’s Tuesday evening.
Mr.
Voigt of the Star Cheese Factory was a caller at our factory last Tuesday.
Some of our young people attended the dance at Prey Saturday night.
Peter Hohenstein’s little baby is well at present.
