Schoengrund, Helena (16 Feb 1894-19 Mar 1961)

Mrs. Arthur Schoengrund, 67, who had been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield since February 22, died there at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, March 19. She had suffered a stroke on Wednesday, March 15, but had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services are to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. V. A. Ganz officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery. The body laid in state at the Myre Funeral Home until noon on Wednesday.

The former Helena Boettcher was born on February 16, 1894 in the town of Beaver and was married to Arthur Schoengrund on October 7, 1915 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. After their marriage the couple lived on a farm north east of Loyal until 1944 when they moved into the city of Loyal. She is survived by her husband, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Evelyn) Ertl, Spencer, Mrs. John (Marcella) Reynolds, Menomonee Falls and four grandchildren.

Eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
