Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran
Church, Marshfield, for John H. Olson, 72, of route 5, Marshfield, a former
resident of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.). He had died at his home Thursday, Jan. 25,
1962 after being in ill health for the past 11 years. Rites were conducted
Sunday with Rev. G.M. Krueger officiating.
Mr. Olson was born Oct. 13,
1889 in Neillsville and received his education there. He was married there April
24, 1913 to the former Margaret Meihack, who survives him. They lived in
Neillsville for eight years and then moved to Loyal, where they operated a farm
for fourteen years. They moved to Milwaukee and lived there until several years
ago, when they retired to a home on route 5, Marshfield. He was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs.
Ewald (Lois) Beyer, Marshfield; and Mrs. Arnold (Blanche) Gall, West Allis; a
son, Donald Olson, Marshfield; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and a
sister, Mrs. Charles (Clara) Smith, Ontario, Oregon.
