Christ the King Catholic Church at Spencer was the scene of the
wedding of Marie Frances Faucher, route 1, Spencer, and Richard Arthur Strey,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Strey, route 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. A.H.
Bofenkamp officiated at the nuptial High Mass, Saturday, Jan. 27, 1962.
The bride chose a gown of lace and nylon tulle over faille taffeta, with a
rounded scalloped neckline embroidered with sequins and pearls and a bouffant
skirt. Her fingertip veil was secured to a crown of sequins and pearls. She
carried an arrangement of red carnations.
Bridal attendants were Mrs.
Harold Fleischman of Marshfield as matron of honor and Kathleen Faucher of
Spencer as bridesmaid.
Harold Fleischman of Marshfield was best man and
Thomas Strey, route 2, Loyal, was groomsman.
A wedding breakfast followed
the ceremony and was held at the Spencer Café. The Newlyweds are engaged in
farming on route 2, Loyal.
The bride attended Spencer High School and her
husband, Loyal High School.
