Seltrecht, Henry (21 December 1896 - 31 August 1967)
Henry Seltrecht, 70, of Rt. 2 Granton, died last Thursday in Neillsville after
being found unconscious in his farm yard. Funeral services were held Monday from
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sherwood. The Rev. E. T. Keller of Pittsville
officiated. Burial was made in the Sherwood cemetery.
Mr. Seltrecht was born December 21, 1896, in Dubuque, Ia. He attended school
there and was a veteran of World War I.
He was married on August 19, 1925 to the former Lenore Qualley. They farmed in
the Town of Sherwood and for 10 years operated the Nasonville store. He later
returned to his farm.
He is survived by a son, Robert, of Gilmanton; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Betty)
Lautenbach of New Berlin; six grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Louise
Haberman of Menomonee Falls, Mrs. John Verotsos and Mrs. Carl Papenthein, both
of Dubuque, Ia.
Pallbearers were: Victor Christensen, Roland Sharratt, Alfred Moldenhauer, Glenn
Brinkmeier, Joe Rosandich and Louis Paun.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton.
