Brussow, Karlene Marie (Marriage - 2 September 1967)

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal was the setting for the double ring ceremony Saturday that united in marriage Miss Karlene Marie Brussow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Brussow of Loyal, and Daniel James Langfeldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Langfeldt of Loyal.

The 12:30 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Diers. Bouquets of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums and white gladioli adorned the altar. Mr. Brussow gave his daughter in marriage.

An A-line floor-length gown of silk organza was worn by the bride. Re-embroidered Alencon lace, with a touch of beadwork, accented the skirt. An elbow-length veil of silk illusion was secured to a headpiece that featured tiny pearl loops. She carried a cascade arrangement of talisman roses.

Maid-of-honor was Miss Vicki Rayhorn. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Tom Brussow of Loyal, Mrs. Herbert Langfeldt of Loyal and Mrs. Dave Fricke of Milwaukee. The attendants wore floor-length olive green chiffon cages, the yokes of which were accented with olive green braid. Their headpieces were a combination flower-leaf effect in olive green velvet, with blush veils. Each carried a colonial bouquet of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums.

Bestman was Andy Malovrk of Ironwood, Mich. Groomsmen were Tom Brussow and Herbert Langfeldt of Loyal and Dave Fricke of Milwaukee. Ushers were Bruce Rayhorn and Steve Langfeldt, both of Loyal.

The bride is a 1966 graduate of Loyal High School. She has been employed as a secretary in Marshfield. Mr. Langfeldt, a 1964 graduate of Loyal High School, is also a graduate of Marathon County Technical Institute in Wausau, and is employed as a retail manager trainee for a department store in Rice Lake, where the newlyweds will make their home.
