John Schultz, who was working at Lue Smith's, was taken suddenly ill last Friday
with appendicitis and, accompanied by his mother, the widow Mrs. Mary Schultz of
Granton R. 4, Dr. and Mrs. Rath, was taken to Eau Claire on the evening train
for an operation.
Hugh Converse has a new gasoline engine for use in farm work.
Alfred Johnson is helping out at Lew Smith's since Friday.
Max Neverman, the Rawleigh man, was calling on trade here last week.
Dr. and Mrs. Dyer of Milladore autoed here Sunday with Mrs. Mary Houslet of
Oxford, the latter an aunt of Lew Smith's and all spent the day at the Lew Smith
home.
Dale Lee and family spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Lee.
Mrs. Otto Yordi was given a pleasant surprise party by her neighbors in honor of
her birthday Saturday.
Mrs. Ara Lee and Mrs. Dale Lee spent Wednesday with Mrs. Ernest Lee of
Heathville.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Scharf and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Yankee autoed to Stanley Sunday
and visited Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Gerlach.
